To mark my 28th birthday (despite it being four days away!) my generous new colleagues presented me with the king of all birthday cakes. It was my first ever M&S Colin the Caterpillar birthday cake and I’d like to share a photo of his cheeky, chocolatey face.
I’ll be celebrating the occasion with a few days off work (and hopefully a few more portions of cake!) Happy birthday me!
This is the first December 1st in my entire life I have not opened a little cardboard window to reveal a festive chocolate, which I usually devour whilst still in my pyjamas. In the only month when chocolate before breakfast is acceptable, advent calendars make it that little bit easier to get out of bed on those dark mornings in the run up to Christmas – and I can’t believe I don’t have one in my life!
I’m not sure why this is. I can only assume that with my 28th birthday in exactly 12 days, I’ve finally become too old for advent. However, if I was to dash out on my way home from work to quickly buy one (ahem!) this is the one I would most like to get.
Hotel Chocolat Ultimate Milk Chocolate Advent Calendar, £17
Flower Power from Biscuiteers
- Hotel Chocolat’s Nibblatron
If, like me, you’re still to purchase your Easter goodies, don’t panic. There’s still one shopping day left to purchase choccie treats. Here’s a few of my favourites:
1. Hotel Chocolat Nibbaltron
Kids and big kids alike with love these chocolate robots
2. Hotel Chocolat eggs and soldiers
The perfect excuse to have chocolate for breakfast on Easter Sunday
3. Green and Black’s bespoke hampers
These build-your-own hampers are a great idea for a special Easter treat. Ingredients include chocolate (of course) organic wines and other Green and Black’s goodies.
4. Booja Booja hazelnut chocolate egg
A delicious chocolate egg with a hand painted shell
5. Flower Power Biscuit Tin
Not technically an Easter egg, but a great sweet treat and alternative to chocolate. A lovely spring gift from Biscuiteers.
